friend who recommended it.  This filter will do 13,000 gallons of water in 
it's lifetime.  It is made in Switzerland and used worldwide for filtering

I can tell you my very personal and close relationship with this 
filter...IT WORKS! In filtration there is no equal..and one has to take 
that into consideration when talking about microns...these expensive 
filters will almost filter out virus....that is how good they are..or 
almost in virus case..nothing will do virus...but if one wants to go 
further you could do the filter fist and then the iodine...but that to 
me is overkill...the filter she is calling for and bought is going to 
work for a long long time when used correctly..is well built (not in the 
US, but in Europe) and will filter out E-Coli which is the biggest 
problem in any streams, and giardia ...... or after any serious quake or 
problems...this can cut won tremendously on disease in third world 
countries which have water problems would all have these for their people...
