The Stumpf Brothers
established the first full fledged beer brewing in 1855 at Davenport and Lake
Streets. John Dangeleisen started a brewery on Forest Street near Broadway. They
were followed by Leonhard Schlather, Isaac Leisy and others. Soon Cleveland
became well-known for its beer brewing industry, established almost entirely by
Germans.

The Goodyear fleet through the '50 and '60s. The "new
age" for Goodyear ships began in 1959 with the GZ-19 Mayflower which
incorporated major car and power plant changes and a 132,000 cu. ft. envelope.
It was enlarged to 147,300 cu. ft. (GZ-19A type) in 1963 and a new Columbia was
built.
